Artisan, which started from a carpentry workshop from the basement of an old family house, gives a very clear message when that same family house gets a new additional roof volume and envelope and becomes an administration house that attaches to the newly built production hall on the site of the old hall. The typology of the house still remains, like one of many in the neighborhood, it becomes wooden and mimics and penetrates into the top floor of the hall, which becomes the main exhibition space of Artisan. The existing ground floor of the house, a former workshop, offers all its memories in the form of a carpentry museum, where it all began. The first floor still remains a guest apartment.
